Working Meeting Held Between the Institute for Migration Research and the Institute for the Culture of Vojvodinian Croats

Subotica – A working meeting between representatives of the Institute for the Culture of Vojvodinian Croats and the Institute for Migration Research was held on June 17, 2024, at the premises of the Institute for the Culture of Vojvodinian Croats. The meeting was attended by Dr. Marina Perić Kaselj, Director of the Institute for Migration Research, Dr. Darko Gavrilović, Tomislav Vodička, and hosts from the Institute for the Culture of Vojvodinian Croats, including Katarina Čeliković and former Director of the Institute, Minister Tomislav Žigmanov.

During the meeting, the existing cooperation between the two institutions was reviewed, and Directors Katarina Čeliković and Dr. Marina Perić Kaselj signed a Cooperation Agreement. The agreement includes the organization of joint conferences, workshops, round tables, as well as co-publishing of publications and collaboration on scientific and professional projects.

Earlier that day, Minister Žigmanov received the delegation of the Institute at the Ministry for Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue, where they discussed the cooperation between Serbs from Croatia and Croats from Serbia in exchanging experiences with European countries. The Institute’s MINUCON project, which deals with a comparative analysis of minorities caught in state conflicts, was highlighted during the meeting as an example of good research practice in the European context.
