The international scientific and expert conference “Bridges of Cooperation – Croat-Serb Relations in the Light of the 150th Anniversary of the Birth of Svetozar Pribićević” was held from 15 to 17 October 2025 at the Library and Reading Room of the Municipality of Dvor (Dvor), organized by the Institute for Migration Research and the Municipality of Dvor.
At the conference, members of the MINUCON project presented their research on Croat-Serb relations, the position of minorities in Croatia and Serbia, and comparative experiences from other European border regions.
The event served as a platform to test and further develop MINUCON’s comparative framework, especially by linking the Croat-Serb case with the Danish-German model in Schleswig.
During the conference, the project team held a working meeting and agreed on the completion of chapters for a joint monograph, as well as on strengthening cooperation between the Institute for Migration Research, ECMI and partner institutions.
The key message of MINUCON from this event is that scientifically grounded analysis, combined with respect for local communities and international experience, can build lasting bridges of cooperation and improve the position of national minorities.
